    Walcownia Metali Nieżelaznych Sp. z o.o. was established in 1997 on the basis of the former Strips Mill Department of Walcownia Metali "Łabędy" S.A. in Gliwice. At the moment of establishing this new company, Walcownia Metali "Łabędy" S.A. as its only one shareholder was at the same time its one-man founder.

    Walcownia Metali "Łabędy", the company with over hundred years tradition, was one of the three producers manufacturing flat rolled products from copper and its alloys (brass, bronze, nickel silver) and casting alloys (cast brass with lead, casting bronze).
